Upper Providence Crash shuts down Route 422 East

UPPER PROVIDENCE — Route 422 Eastbound was closed to traffic between the Royersford and Collegeville exits shortly after 10:30 a.m. Thursday after a crash that reportedly left two people injured.

The injured were reportedly being taken by helicopter to area hospitals.

Eastbound traffic is backed up a mile past the Royersford exit due to the crash with traffic being diverted onto the Royersford/Trappe exit.
