PHOENIXVILLE — National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association honored one of its members with a 100th birthday party on Tuesday.

NARFE CHapter # 372 celebrated the birthday of Valley Forge resident Helen Debus (full name Helen Gertrude Margaret Davis Debus) on Tuesday at the G Lodge in Phoenixville. Debus, who has lived in Valley Forge all of her life, turned 100 on Oct. 26 and enjoyed a family birthday party at the Desmond Hotel on Oct. 27.

Debus worked as assistant to the postmaster at Valley Forge Post Office for 25 to 30 years.
