Letter: Something must be done about traffic back-ups in Phoenixville

My letter concerns a problem in Phoenixville. Something needs to be done to prevent cars coming down Starr Street from making a right turn on red onto Bridge Street (Route 29 North.)

This brings traffic on Bridge Street to a complete stop, backing it up for several blocks. Even when the light turns green, there is no place to go. I have been in that line of cars as we waited through three and four light changes. If one or two cars try to get across, they are caught in mid-intersection and can’t move. This is an accident waiting to happen. Though I live in Spring City, I need to drive through Phoenixville. I’m hoping that my letter will be seen by the right people who can correct this problem before someone is hurt or worse.
