The Spring-Ford High School Marching Band had a taste of victory at the Atlantic Coast Championships on Oct. 28. The Spring-Ford High School Golden Rams Marching Band, under the direction of Seth Jones, recently competed in the National Judges Association Tournament of Bands Atlantic Coast Championships at Hershey Park Stadium. Spring-Ford High School won first place in the Group 4 Open Class Championships competing against other qualifying bands from Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.

One hundred and forty bands competed throughout three days throughout the Atlantic Coast Championships.

The Spring-Ford band’s production this year is arranged by Dr. Andrew Yozviak and is titled “Red.” The program features the music of Russian, British and Japanese heritages and each movement represents a particular “red.”
