ROYERSFORD — Royersford Elementary School students will pay homage to U.S. service members during the annual Veterans Day program that will be held at the school, 450 Spring St. in Royersford, at 1:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9.

Students will honor veterans by singing patriotic songs and reading compositions about freedom, courage, honor, duty and sacrifice during an all-school assembly that will be held in the all-purpose room. Additionally, students will have lunch with the veterans.

In preparation for Veterans Day, students have also created a “Wall of Honor” made out of paper bricks that features the names of students and the veterans they may know of in their own families and the conflicts in which they have served.

State Rep. Tom Quigley will speak to the veterans, students, staff and educators about the significance of the day and its impact on all.
