Hurricane Sandy knocks down trees in Phoenixville, causes power outages

PHOENIXVILLE – Hurricane Sandy hit the area taking down trees and causing power outages for residents.

In Phoenixville Borough, a tree fell on a car in a driveway on Anderson Street near Lincoln Street and a tree came down on Lincoln Street near Griffin Street. A tree also came down in the alley between Prospect and Bridge streets. A tree fell down on wires on Starr Street.

A tree knocked down the Anthony P. Shimer monument in Morris Cemetery.
