Limerick police and community members help Project Outreach

Monday, October 1, 2012

On Monday, September 10th, the Limerick Police held their annual fundraiser golf outing which benefited Project Outreach and other local charities. Project Outreach received $1,000 from this event and we are very grateful Brian Skelton, Limerick Police Chief, organized this event and being a golfer myself I know many hours of work are needed.
Thank you, Brian. You are one special guy with a big heart for the needy.
I would also like to thank Limerick Township Commissioner Elaine Dewan and her husband for their generous financial donation. Their gift came in perfect time to help us provide housing for a homeless family.
Last, but far from least, we want to thank our dear friend, Len Baranosky. Len for several years was the coordinator of our furniture program and it touched his heart when he saw children sleeping on the floor. He felt he needed to do something so he organized an annual Classic Car Show. This year the event was on September 9th at St. James UCC in Limerick.
Len was able to raise a whopping $4,195 for our furniture program in which most of the funds will be used to purchase new beds for kids.
We as a local community agency could not exist if it were not for the efforts and the kindness from persons like the above mentioned.
The numbers of those in need are growing day by day and we are so thankful for all of the help we receive. I said it before, and I will say it again, the greater Spring-Ford area is one great place to live!
May God bless each and everyone for your caring hearts!
