2012 Peacefest in Phoenixville to focus on anti-bullying

PHOENIXVILLE - Peace Advocacy Network has announced that this year’s Peace Fest will be on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 12 to 4 p.m. at Reeves Park in Phoenixville. This year’s theme is anti-bullying. The event is a free, family-friendly and will feature exhibitors, free food, entertainment, and more. This event is open to the public.

Peace Fest 2012 will feature its own version of Cupcake Wars with all vegan cupcakes. Select professional bakers have been invited to compete in this competition. So far, Dia Doce, Eliza’s Bakery, Sweets by Samantha, Sweet Freedom and Virago Bakery have agreed to participate by donating mini cupcakes to the event. A limited number of attendees will be able to sign up as judges, if desired, in exchange for a small donation.

Two of a Kind, an award-winning, nationally touring husband-wife duo specializing in interactive music for children and families, will be performing from 12:30-1 at Peace Fest! A full stage schedule including other performances and more will be available soon.

Food donors include Gardein, Giant, Good Eatz, Jenny and Frank’s Artisan Gelato, Kimberton Whole Foods, Le Bus, Trader Joe’s, VegFund, Wawa, Wegmans, Helen’s Kitchen, Walgreens, Turtle Island and more.
