CHARLESTOWN - Phoenixville Marian Youth Club (PMYC) football games were held at Charlestown Park.

On Thursday, Sept. 13, in a Big Brothers contest, the Steelers nipped the Vikings, 7-6. the Steelers’ Miles Davido scored on a 3-yard run in the second quarter and Anthony Davido ran for the conversion.

Caleb Moon rushed for 67 yards on 13 carries, Anthony Davido 10 for 45, David Bolles three for 12 and Miles Davido one for three. The Steelers ran 27 times for 127 total yards.

Defensively, Liam Myers made nine tackles, Zachery Dellaquila seven, Bill Pizor six and Bolles four.

The Vikings’ Hunter Scherfel gained 95 yares on 15 tries, Steve Brill three for 18, Brennan Cassidy three for 12 and Anthony Martellucci two for eight. The Vikings ran 23 times for 133 yards.

Brill completed four of seven passes for 75 yards. Jeff Klenk had two receptions for 45 yards and Cassidy had two catches for 30 yards. Scherfel made nine tackles, Mike Roskos seven, Martellucci six and Connor Patrania five hits with one fumble recovery.

In a Little Brothers game, the Packers blanked the Redskins, 20-0. Josh Vinson scored three touchdowns for the Packers in a game against the Redskins. Vinson scored on runs of 47, 54 and 19 yards. Mason Brill ran for a point after and so did Jeremiah Baker.

Vinson garnered 147 yards rushing on seven attempts, Baker four for 41, Trey Davis five for 24 and Brill five for 22. The Packers gained 234 yards on 21 plays. Brill was 0-for-3 in passing with one interception.

Tyrell Cornish made seven tackles, Anthony Ferko, Zahaire Savage six and Trey Davis six with a fumble recovery and Niles Vinson five tackles with a fumble recovery.

The Redskins’ Jared Geiger gained 36 yards on four tries, Antonio Valenteen six for 18, DAmian McNeill four for 17, Justin Geiger four for 16 and Angelo Franzone two for 11. The Redskins totaled 98 yards on 20 tries. Jared Geiger completed one pass attempt for 18 yards to McNeill.

On defense, Jeremy Ziemba made five tackles and recovered a fumble, and McNeill also had five tackles, Jared Geiger four with an interception and Johnathan Havrilak four.

On Sept. 11, the Eagles and Steelers met in Big Brothers with the Eagles’ Andre Moffatt scoring on a 3-yard run.

The Eagles’ Chris Sullivan rushed for 114 yards on 12 carries, Moffatt nine for 29, Durron Johnson four for seven and Graham Light three for five. The Eagles finished with 155 yards rushing on 28 snaps.

Sullivan went 0-for-1 in passing.

Defensively, Sullivan made 10 tackles, Johnson seven, Light five with a fumble recovery and Travis Pannella five. Moffatt also had a good game on defense.

For the Steelers, Antony Davido ran for 64 yards on nine gains, Caleb Moon seven for 41, David Bolles four for 26 and Miles Davido two for eight. The Steelers picked up 139 yards on 22 attempts.

Liam Myers had eight tackles and a fumble recovery, Moon seven tackles, Zachery Dellaquila six and Bolles four. Bolles and Justin Blakey also had fumble recoveries.

In Little Brothers action, the Lions played the Rams.

The Lions’ Elijah Martin ran for a 38-yard touchdown and also threw a 32-yard scoring pass to Dillon Brennan. Mark Montague ran for the conversion.

Martin gained 85 yards rushing on 12 carries, Montague seven for 20, Pat Layne four for 12 and D.J. Clark one for two. The Lions ran for 119 yards on 24 plays.

Martin finished 1-for-2 in passing for 32 yards and a TD to Brennan.

On defense, Montague made six tackles with a fumble recovery, Martin five, Layne four hits with a fumble recovery and Joseph Moffa four hits. Alex Wielage also recovered a fumble.

For the RAms, Andrew DeStefano ran for 46 yards on six tries, Gabe Nunez six for 38, Patrick Elisii two for 15 and Urish Moon four for 12. The Rams gained 111 yards on 18 calls.

Elisii made eight tackles and intercepted a pass. DeStefano had seven tackles and a fumble recovery. Darren Hummel had six tackles and a fumble recovery. Tyler Hummel also was in on six hits.
