MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT — Operation American Pride, a tribute to the military, will be observed at 7 p.m. on Sept. 7 during the Phoenixville Phantoms High School football game. The event will feature patriotic music, color guard, tunnel of valor and half-time tributes. All active and retired military personnel are invited to attend the game free of charge. If you would like to be included in the pre-game activities, please report to Washington Field on Route 29 in Phoenixville by 6:30 p.m. All military personnel and their families will form a tunnel and welcome the Phantoms onto the field. Stay for a half-time tribute from the local congressman, state senator, state representative and local dignitaries. Attendees are encouraged to wear red, white and blue or camouflage clothing to show their appreciation for the military.
BASKET BINGO — St. Basil the Great Church presents Basket & Bag Bingo at a new time and place: Sunday, Sept. 16 at St. Basil’s Church Hall. Doors open at noon and games begin at 1 p.m. Prizes will be from Longaberger, Vera Bradley, Coach, Dooney and Burke, Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, B. Makowsky and Tignanello.
