Limerick Unit 1 off-line for inspections

LIMERICK — Unit 1 at Limerick Generating Station was taken off-line early Saturday morning for “planned inspections of its low-pressure turbine blades,” according to a press release.

“The inspections will help ensure that Limerick Generating Station continues to operate safely, efficiently and reliably and can only be performed when the unit is off-line,” according to the press release. “Limerick Unit 1 will return to service after the inspections and any repairs and testing are complete.”
