BASEBALL

The Mansfield University Fall Prospect Clinic is designed for the high school student-athletes who are looking to play college and/or professional baseball. The focus of this clinic will be on skill development.

In addition to Mansfield head coach Harry Hillson, his coaching staff and player, there will be coaches from other local colleges as well as pro scouts invited. All players will receive a clinic T-shirt, Lunch will not be provided. A concessions tand will be open all day. Cost is $75 per player for the entire day.

The tentative schedule for the clinic on Sunday, Oct. 7, at Shaute Field on campus is 9:30 a.m. registration, 10 a.m. stretch, 10:20 a.m. positional breakdown, 11 a.m. offensive talk/batting practice, 12:15 p.m. defensive skills (infield, outfield, with catcher throws), 12:45 p.m. game/simulated game (pitchers will throw live), 2:45 p.m. breakdown, 3 p.m. dismissal. Times are subject to change based on the number of registrants. Clinic rain orshine. Decker Gym will be used in the event of inclement weather.

FOOTBALL
Spring-Ford Youth Football/Cheerleading 2012 is accepting online registrations for all flag, tackle football and cheerleading programs. More information: Visit SFYAL.org.

The Spring-Ford youth football teams and cheerleaders will hold a pep rally at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, in the Spring-Ford High School gymnasium. For more information, visit SFYAL. org.

IMMACULATA
INVITATIONAL
Immaculata University will host its 37th annual golf invitational on Monday, Sept. 24, at the two scenic championship golf courses of Stonewall in Elverson.

Registration for the events beings at 9:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. After the conclusion of the tournament, participants can enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner and silent auction. An awards ceremony will close the evening, with team prizes for low gross and net and individual prizes for closest to pin and long drive.

All are welcome to attend this popular outing for Immaculata alumni and friends, which helps support scholarships for students.
