CANCELED: Founding members of Blue Oyster Cult performing in Mont Clare

MONT CLARE — Got a fever and in need of more cowbell? Founding members of Blue Oyster Cult are coming to a town near you.

The band, Blue Coupe, made of founding Blue Oyster Cult members Joe and Albert Bouchard and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee from Alice Cooper Dennis Dunaway, will be performing at the Mont Clare Summer Jam on Saturday, Aug. 18, at St. Michael Park.

The doors for the event open at noon and the music will begin soon after and last until The concert is being presented by Kipp Elbaum, Anthony D’Amico, Mike Niemeyer in association withrocknrolltheworld and Labella Strings.

Blue Coupe will be performing many of the biggest hits by BOC and Alice Cooper including, From BOC: “Cities On Flame,”“Red And The Black,”“Burning For You,”“Astronomy,”“Hot Rails To Hell,”“Godzilla,”“Don’t Fear The Reaper.”The songs they will be playing from Alice Cooper will be“Caught In A Dream,”“I’m Eighteen,”“School’s Out,” and “No More Mr. Nice Guy.” Blue Coupe will perform“Angel’s Well” and “You (Like Vampies),”which were both nominated for Grammys in 2012.

Plus, attendees can see Low Society (New York/Memphis) with Sturgis Nikides on guitar. Sturgis is an internationally respected blues slide guitarist. He is the former guitar player for John Cale & Sterling Morrison of the Velvet Underground as well as legendary model, actress and singer Nico. Brit psychedelic legend Kevin Ayers, plus guitarist extraordinaire Chris Spedding will perform. Low Society is hard rocking striped to the core dirty blues. With Texas blues phenom Mandy Lemons on vocals, Low Society’s freshman cd release “High Time” is receiving international attention in the media as well as airplay on numerous internet and over the air Blues Radio stations.
