UPPER PROVIDENCE - Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane showed off a new forensic vehicle in Upper Providence on Wednesday following a roundtable discussion with local law enforcement on how to best stay on top of and capture child predators in the commonwealth.

"The exploitation of our sons and daughters is running rampant in this nation," Kane said.

NORRISTOWN - A Limerick man who threw his wife and daughter out of the house before threatening to burn it down in November pleaded guilty Tuesday and was given jail time at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

Daniel Ellis, 41, of the first block of Faust Lane, pleaded guilty to one count of terroristic threats and one count of recklessly endangering another person in front of Judge Steven O'Neill.

PHOENIXVILLE - A man who robbed a pet store on Nutt Road in Phoenixville Tuesday afternoon was almost immediately apprehended by police searching the area.

Around 4:30 p.m., Pet Supplies Plus, on the 700 block of Nutt Road, was robbed by a man later identified as James Mitchell Marder, 43, of Phoenixville, according to Phoenixville Police Chief Bill Mossman.

<![CDATA[Royersford man turns 100 with grand celebration]]> Royersford resident Jack Fries, a regular at the Spring-Ford Diner, celebrated his 100th birthday in grand fashion Friday morning.

Fries was driven to the diner from his apartment in the Royersford fire truck used in the film, "The Blob." At the diner, he was greeted by dozens of friends and well-wishers who sang him "Happy Birthday" and presented with a cake and $100 bill with his face on it.
