The Spring-Ford Area School board plans to vote next week on making Royersford Elementary School the next school to become a hybrid learning center. Spring City Elementary School is three years into a successful pilot with the program and the district hopes to duplicate those achievements at Royersford Elementary School.

Christa Alicia Britton, 21, of the 1500 block of St. Peters Road, was sentenced Wednesday in Montgomery County Court to seven years' probation in connection with incidents that occurred in April 2014 at the TD Bank branch on South Township Line Road in Limerick.

The school board directed the district's department of transportation to consider whether buses should start traveling on undedicated roads -- those that are not maintained by a municipality in the district.

Kevin Martin Rebbie, 56, has been charged with aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of a minor in connection with alleged incidents that occurred while the girl was between 9 and 13 years of age and in his company at various locations in Limerick and Royersford.

George Eisenhardt, 56, of Perkiomenville had been driving a 2004 Harley Davidson northbound on Zieglerville Road when he attempted to negotiate a left curve. Eisenhardt then travelled off the right shoulder and struck a tree.

<![CDATA[Bridgework begins, construction continues]]> Work crews began their work on replacing the Valley Forge Road bridge by the Pickering Creek Dam Monday, closing off a heavily traveled portion of Route 23 in Schuylkill Township and causing major traffic jams throughout the Phoenixville area. PennDOT has installed a traffic light at the intersection of Route 29 and Egypt Road in Upper Providence to help with traffic flow, and traffic is being rerouted along Routes 29 and 422.
