SPRING CITY — A man who was taking care of two children was charged with aggravated indecent assault, police said.

According to police, Lee Richard Enderle, 33, of the 300 block of Chestnut Street in the borough allegedly took pictures of a 7-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy kissing.

He is also charged with criminal attempt of aggravated indecent assault on a person less than 13 years old, endangering the welfare of a child and luring a child into a motor vehicle, court paperwork said.

One of the victims told police that Enderle allegedly forced the two children to kiss while they were in his bedroom.

Enderle also allegedly touched the female victim inappropriately and forced her to kiss him, police said.

On the morning of August 13, District Judge Theodore Michaels set Enderle’s bail at $150,000, according to court documents. He was taken to Chester County Prison in lieu of bail.

In 2001, Enderle was charged with multiple felony counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and multiple misdemeanor charges for simple assault, corruption of minors, unlawful restraint and conspiring to commit indecent assault on a person less than 13 years old, according to court documents.

When his case reached county court, the only charges held were the misdemeanor simple assault charges, court documents said.

Enderle served between 3 months and 23 months in Chester County Prison and was sent to a mental health treatment class after his release, the Chester County Clerk of Courts said.

Enderle is scheduled to appear in court for his current charges again on Aug. 22 at 9 a.m.
