Royersford woman allegedly burglarizes neighbor

ROYERSFORD — A woman allegedly discovered her neighbor inside her home and multiple pieces of jewelry gone last week.

The Royersford Police said a woman returned to her home on the 900 block of Main Street Wednesday and found her neighbor, Catherine Spatzer-Glazier, 50, from the same block, inside the home.

A press release from police read that “(Spatzer-Glazier) claimed she gained entry with a key, but the resident never told her location of the key”.

Not long after, the resident of the home noticed jewelry missing.

When police checked local jewelry stores, it turned out that Spatzer-Glazier allegedly “sold several items of jewelry to one of the stores” a day before she was discovered in her neighbor’s home.

The neighbor identified the jewelry as hers and Spatzer-Glazier was arrested on July 19.

After her arrest, a search of Spatzer-Glazier’s home turned up additional jewelry belonging to the victim, police said.

Spatzer-Glazier was arraigned before District Judge Walter Gadzicki on two counts each of burglary and criminal trespass and one count each of theft and receiving stolen property. Her bail was set at $75,000 cash and, in lieu of that, she was sent to Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
