Limerick: Man who died following Evergreen Road crash ID'd

LIMERICK — The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the man who died following an SUV crash Tuesday night on Evergreen Road.

Michael Lewis, 60, from Schwenskville, died from a cardiac event Tuesday night after being taken to Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Police said witnesses told them Lewis’ white SUV was stopped at Evergreen Road’s intersection with Rupert Road when the vehicle began driving erratically and crossed into the wrong lanes of Evergreen Road around 8:30 p.m.

The SUV ended up in woods on the north side of the road causing minor front-end damage.

According to the coroners’ office, Lewis received some injuries from the airbag deploying in the car, but death was ruled as a cardiac event and the manner was ruled natural.
