High jumper Medina part of PAC-10 track

Phoenixville junior boys high jumper Saybrim Medina made the All-Pioneer Athletic Conference Track & Field first team by virtue of his finish at the league championship meet.

The Phantoms Mackensey Thomas made the second team in the boys 400-meter dash. Phoenixville also placed its 4x400 relay on the second team with Thomas, Tyler Timmins, Ryan Marks and Xavier Knight.

Spring-Ford landed four spots on the first team boys and one more on the girls side of the ledger.

David OSuch made the first unit in the 400, Joe Bush in the triple jump, Ryan Pierson in the pole vault and the 4x400 relay of Josh Tupper, Jared Shoemaker, Adam Gouveia and OSuch.

High jumper Natalie Thomas also made the first team for the girls.

Second team went to Ryan Connelly in the 110 hurdles, OSuch in the 200 and Michael Cassidy in the 3,200.

For the girls, Haley Preschutti made the second team in the 800, Nicole Cornell in the high jump, Emma Krueger in the pole vault, Akunna Okere in the discus and the 4x800 relay of Anna Poet, Sam Christman, Maggie Locke and Preschutti.

Honorable mention belonged to Connelly in the 300 hurdles, Paul Power in the 1,600 and 3,200, Bush in the long jump, Brandon Leacraft in the javelin and the 4x800 relay consisting of Adam Musetti, Gouveia, Jack Andrews and Tupper.

Perkiomen Valleys boys earned five first-team berths as well as two more in girls competition.

The Vikings Ryan Heimbach garnered top honors in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles while Sean Hodgins won the 800, Austin Gansz the shot put and the 4x800 relay of Hodgins, Dave Garton, Jay Adams and Kevin Gibbons.

Macey Tanseco was a double winner in the shot put and discus.

For the second team, Garton gained a spot in the 1,600 for the boys. The girls landed a place with the 4x100 relay of Kelly Jamieson, Megan Drakas, Erika Womack and Jenn Maurer.

Honorable mention went to Chad Keller in the 400 and Gansz in the discus for the boys. The girls grabbed a spot with Katie Armstrong in the shot put.
