Phoenixville winter track results

BETHLEHEM - Phoenixville’s boys and girls winter track teams competed in meets at Lehigh University on Dec. 20 and Dec. 22.

Ther boys meet was held Saturday, Dec. 22.

In the 4x400-meter relay, junior McKenzie Thomas, junior Saybrim Medina, senior Tyler Timmins and senior Xavier knight combined for a 3:37.l69 clocking to take second place and earn silver medals. This time qualifies the quartet for the boys Meet of Champions.

In the freshman/sophomore 4x800 meter relay, freshman Sean McGinnis, freshman Liam Darcy, sophomore Kevin Colbert and freshman Mike Shaw ran a 9:52.60 for fourth place and ribbons.


“This was a nice job by a very young relay team,” said Phoenixville coach Jack Kraynak.

Junior Galen Rogers ran the 200-meter dash in 29.02. Freshman Aaron Westerman finished the 400 in 64.01. Sophomore Mike Pinelli completed the 800 in 2:35.28. Junior Jack Schneider ran the mile in 5:34.61. Senior Jack Reed ran the 3000 meters in 11:23.04.


The girls meet was held on Thursday, Dec. 20.

In the 4x800 meter relay, sophomore Maddie Wilder, freshman Chloe Oustrich, sophomore sabrina Illig and freshman Claire Halloran were clocked in 11:45.87.

“This was a nice job by a young relay team,” said Kraynak.

Freshman Keri Marini recorded an 8.6 time in the 55-meter dash.

“This was a nice job by Keri in her first high school track meet,” said Kraynak.

Soophomore Lilly Jennings finished the 300 in 49.98 seconds. Senior Amy Kowalick ran the 600 in 1:53.36. Junior Jackie Tucker ran the 1,000 meters in 3:34.61. Sophomore Fiona Halloran was clocked at 12:41.90 in the 3000.

In the 4x400 relay, senior Amy kowalick, sophomore Lilly Jennings, freshman Abbi Rubino and junior Jackie Tucker ran a 4:44.43.

Sophomore Bridge Walt had a distance of 12-8 in the long jump.
